Valuation Officer

In this position, you will be part of the Valuation department, reporting directly to the Conducting Officer in charge of the Valuation Function.

Your role

  • Review and validate valuation of investments for Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Infrastructure assets based on widely accepted valuation techniques in the context of fund structures and the calculation of their NAV, e.g. income approaches such as discounted cash flows and/or market approach
  • Collaborate internally with our Portfolio and Risk Management departments
  • Interact with independent appraisers and our client investment and valuation teams
  • Continuously optimize and validate valuation processes, methodologies and tools
  • Analyze market data as well as key modeling assumptions and judge on their adequacy
  • Participate in new client approval processes with regard to the proposed valuation approach of new alternative investment asset classes
  • Drafting of valuation policies and applicable procedures for all types of illiquid assets; work in close connection with the Risk and Valuation committee to approve valuation policy and any subsequent modifications

Skills required

  • 3-5 years of valuation work experience with a particular focus on venture, private equity, real estate, private debt, financial advisory, M&A corporate finance
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or comparable studies with a specialization in corporate finance or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of valuation techniques for various asset classes such as private equity and venture capital, real estate and infrastructure as well senior, junior and convertible debt
  • A good understanding of all valuation-related regulations (e.g. AIFMD regulation, IPEV and RICS guidelines)
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, VBA knowledge is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to understand valuation models and their limitations
  • Strong knowledge of respective accounting standards (IFRS, Lux GAAP…)
  • Fluent in English, Italian is a plus.
  • Initiative taker, be able to work independently and solution driven

Risk Officer UCITS

We are looking for a Senior Risk Officer (m/f) to join the UCITS Team.

Your mission will consist in being in charge of managing the Risk Management framework of several UCITS clients. 

Your role

  • Assist the UCITS team in the implementation of the Risk Management Framework
  • Production of periodical reports (daily/weekly/monthly)
  • Perform risk assessment for existing and new UCITS, determination of risk profile, monitoring risk limits (market (commitment/VaR), credit, liquidity, counterparty, operational (TER, PTR, Nav error…)
  • Support the Head of Risk in various Risk Management topics 
  • Review the existing risk framework (regulatory and internal requirements) in close cooperation with other departments
  • Monitor the liquidity of UCITS and analyze stress testing results
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Risk and the governing body

Skills required

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or related fields.
  • Have minimum 3 years of relevant risk position in liquid strategies (stocks, bonds, derivatives…)

Your role

  • Prepare reports to clients for each board meeting of funds

Your role

Fund Legal Officer

We our looking for a Fund Legal Officer to join the Legal  Team.

Your mission will consist in contributing to the legal activities linked to various types of investment funds (UCITs, AIFs, non-regulated), including the setup, the restructuring and the liquidation.

Your role

  • Set-up and review the constitutive documents of investment funds (prospectus, offering documents, articles of incorporation, service agreements, etc )
  • Draft and negotiate related agreements such as management company agreement, AIFM Agreements, LPAs, agreements relating to delegated functions, distribution agreements, and other services agreements.
  • Liaise with the supervisory authority for filing and review until approval.
  • Ensure compliance of investment fund’s legal documentation with laws and relevant regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, investment managers, supervisory authority, external legal counsel to achieve an agreement on the contracts.
  • Liaise with internal operational teams to support application of contracts in the day- to- day.
  • Represent the team and company during external events in accordance with the management.

Your role

  • Ensure product tax oversight, tax compliance risk assessment
  • Ensure follow up of new tax regulations , ensure analysis and provide internal guidance
  • Perform analysis of DAC 6 and ATAD 2, draft appropriate assessment for each impacted product
  • Ensure tax reporting, where applicable
  • Perform analysis of fund investment taxation and run the appropriate controls

Fund Oversight Officer

We are looking for a FUND OVERSIGHT OFFICER to join the Supervision of Delegates Team. The officer will be also in contact with the investment compliance team and the risk team to support the preparation of the Self-Assessment Questionnaire for funds.

Your mission will consist in supporting the investment compliance and risk team for the completion of the Self-Assessment Questionnaire and in monitoring the Management Company’s delegates with the purpose of reinforcing the current team within LEMANIK ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY S.A. 

Your role

  • Be in charge of the supervision of the counterparties of the Management Company (Central Administrators, Investment Managers, Depositaries, Investment advisors) 
  • Conduct the initial and on-going due diligences on the counterparties, including on-site visit (International travelling might be required) 
  • Collect and challenge the KPIs from the counterparties, investigate potential risks identified, escalate issues and contribute to resolution of problems
